Will A Common Man's Dream Come True !

Everyone would have heard Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam's dream to make India a developed nation by year 2020..

I am not a person like him, am a ordinary common man & i have a dream too.. "Serve to man is serve to god" - This is what Swami Vivekananda said & this is what my dream is !

Every one of you reading through the end of this post might leave your own different opinions, but i would be the most satisfied person even if one of you do your best part to make my dream come true..

This is what i dream off : I wish i could help the hunger get his meal at least once a day, i wish i could help a labor child do his/her education, i wish everyone respect women & don't let them abused, i wish every son/daughter takes care of their parents so that i don't see any old-age homes, i wish every parent don't let their child drown on some river or thrown to a dustbin so that i don't see orphanages, i wish every one is given opportunity based on potential, i wish everyone understands Ram, Rahim & Jesus are same so that i don't see any religious riots, i wish the technologies are used only for the good cause, i wish the young commuters leave their seat for the senior citizens, i wish the Racists understand that the color of skin is based on climatic & natural factors & there is nothing distinct about white, black or brown, i wish for every single tree cut down - 100 plants are planted, i wish everyone takes up responsibilities & admit their own mistakes, i wish the have's share a little with have not's, i wish politicians don't play politics & do justice to their roles & my wishes still goes on..

No one alone can make this dream of every common man come true.. Like a saying in tamil "siru thuli peru vellam" which means small drops together can emerge out as a huge flood, likewise if every individual of us can do our very best part, pretty soon we can see our India as the paradise land.. I wish a small drop of my note fall in Ur heart and create the ripple effect for a good cause..

All that me the common man dream is "Serve to Man is Serve to God" ...

വിഷു

The festival marks the first day of the Malayalam Year and falls in the month of Medam (April – May). "Vishu" in Sanskrit means "equal". Therefore Vishu is more probably denoting one of the equinox days.

Vishukkani : The most important event in Vishu is the Vishukkani, which literally " the first to be seen on the Vishu day". The Vishukkani consist of a ritual arrangement of auspicious articles like raw rice, fresh lemon, golden cucumber, betel leaves, arecanut, metal mirror, the yellow flowers konna (Cassia fistula), and a holy text and coins, in a bell metal vessel called uruli in the puja room of the House. A lighted bell metal lamp called nilavilakku is also placed alongside. This arrangement is completed the previous night. On the day of Vishu, the custom is to wake up at dawn and go to the puja room with the eyes closed so that the Vishukkani is the first sight of the new season.

Vishu Kaineetam : Children wait eagerly for this ritual. The elders of the family starting with the grand father or father give away Kaineetam to the younger ones. The Kaineetam consists of coins (now mostly notes) with Konna flowers, rice and the gold from the Uruli. The gold and the rice are returned to the Uruli and touch the eyes with flower. Earlier days, it was a custom to give Kaineetam to all the people associated with the house such as servants, field workers and land-tenants. The principle is the symbolic sharing of the prosperity and wishing happiness for all.

Vishu Sadhya:  How can a festival go complete without food (YuMmY !!)  A Sadya is traditionally a vegetarian meal served on a plantain or banana leaf; people eat sitting cross-legged on the floor. Sadhya can have up to 24 dishes served in it.

One More Vishu passing away leaving happiness.........

Sister - A Blessing !!!

"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life..."

I don't have my own sister & i have always felt bad about it.. But today i am thankful & grateful to the almighty, that he has blessed me with so many sisters & i understood that he didn't want me to have just one sis of my own..... I have always had a thought in my mind to post about Sister  & today its a dream come true....

In My life i have shared so much with my sisters, both bitter 'n' sweet.... All my sisters have been such a comfort to me, they help me in every way, every day....  They have always guided me to the right track whenever i have slipped off....

They have always lend a hand in need & are being my great support indeed..

I call them in different ways like "Akka", "Didi", "Chechi", "Sis", sometimes "Mam" & to all them, am their younger bro... :)

I have always enjoyed the l'il fights, the arguments, teasing out each other, guidance, support & what not.. Many times  i love to hear their scoldings :) at times i get emotionally hurt too... but the underlying fact is i always feel that i have been given enough space or freedom to show out all my mischeviousness with them...  Its my sisters with whom i share a lot of things, be it personal or professional, they are always there for me & i am very much thankful about it...
They all have given me so many nice moments that i would always treasure close to my heart !

In  simpler words, all my sisters are loving, caring, cheerful, friendly, trustworthy, kindhearted,   understanding,   wise ,  elegant ....

I thank god for blessing me with so many sweet sisters in my life & i pray that the love & care my sisters pour on me always continue thru my life time...  I am sure that God will bless all my sisters.....

To all my sisters, with love....

Corporate slave by day !!!

Corporate slave by day, creative spark by night on - Lyf-Z-Sweet blog...I would like to burst out of the corporate straitjacket and come alive, but the perpetual question remains: how to find joy and fulfilment at work???
If everybody loved their job, they probably wouldn't call it work. The lucky ones are those guys who have figured out how to get paid for doing what they love, while the rest of us simply get paid so we can afford to do what we love on the weekends. But for some of us, the workplace can be miserable, so much so that it consumes our whole life. And in a tough job market, the idea of quitting without having another job lined up is just too risky..
If we spend eight hours a day at work, and eight hours sleeping, that leaves us eight hours all to ourself. When we let a crappy day at work take over our life, we're letting the company steal our time without paying us for it. End of Day we don't get time to focus on what we want. The goal is to ensure that we leave our work at work which never is met..
It's easy to think that things won't ever change. But that's just not true because this isn't permanent..
We don't need to figure out a way to love the job we hate, and we don't need to fix all of the problems at work. All we need to do is cope long enough to find a new job.......

Are Marriages Made in HeAvEn ?? Lets take a look..

There is a Familiar Quote which almost every common might have come up in his life atleast for once.. Its none other than this Quote.. "Marriages are made in heaven" !
Let's take India... In our country the sites & matrimonial columns in papers are taking up the charge of binding hearts ! Its a fact to be agreed upon.. The posting of profiles on sites & ad's on papers have now become a common trend in finding up the right match, ends up right or not is other question.
Shouldn't forget to tell a thanks to such custom as this has greatly reduced the women to showcase themselves for everytime a guy comes to visit her. These sites/papers are indeed helping but are they really boon.. ? Many a times its either the parents or guys/gals themselves or their siblings take up the pain of visiting these sites to get the right match..
End of day after so much effort one final question remains to continue, has the right match being found... Not sure whether marriages are done in heaven but one thing is for sure matrimonial sites lend a big hand in getting the marriage done :)
Wish these sites help in finding right match...
